Last year, Kevin opened up about how he looks forward to working with Heart in one of his movies. Heart herself admitted in previous interviews that she once auditioned for “Crazy Rich Asians.”

In it, Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan calls Evangelista the darling of the Philippines and talks about her customized Birkin bags, which she hand paints herself. The same article said the 35-year-old Filipino actress was vying for the role along with Taiwanese-Australian actress-model Hannah Quinlivan and American actress Lana Condor. There are diamonds, sparkling ros, and haute couture runway shows and yes, it’s just as extravagant as it sounds. Rumors about Heart Evangelista being part of the second installment of "Crazy Rich Asians" hasn't died down some two years since the movie first premiered in 2018.
